Expectant Mums
Giving birth with confidence
This is what Confident Childbirth can give you. Giving birth the way you want to, with confidence.
I help you plan your ideal birth experience, and then give you some tools to help you achieve it.
And everyone is different. This is about you, and what birth you  believe is best for you, and your baby.
What it is;
A set of four sessions designed to;
  • help you decide on the best birth for you and your baby
  • help you imagine that, and so become more confident in what you want and how to get it
  • give you the tools to remain calm, and as pain free as you would like to be, through the birth
  • foster a sense of calm control

You can have sessions by yourself, or get together with a friend who is also expecting, and come together.
If you’ve had a bad experience before, though, or are very anxious about the birth, then its wise to come on your own, at least initially.

You can learn;
  • self hypnosis, and how this can be of benefit during your labour
  • pain control techniques, if a natural birth is your goal
  • how to communicate effectively during the process
Who is it for?

Confident Childbirth is useful for first time mums, or mums who have had a difficult previous birth, or mums who just want to learn ways to manage the birth experience

Why choose Confident Childbirth?
  • To minimise drug intervention during labour, for the benefit of you and your baby
  • To enhance your experience of the birth resulting in a calmer you and baby, during and after the birth

FAQ’s

Do you suggest natural childbirth?

No, this is your birth and this is about what you want. I help you decide what is right for you and give you tools to achieve this.

What if I’m nervous about hypnosis?

All of us; in daydreams achieves self-hypnosis every day, when driving or reading a book. I teach you how, and then its up to you how much you want to use this technique and how much you want to practice being good at it.

Do the natural pain control techniques work?

There is no guarantee, however people do have surgery using them and really it’s as much about your own belief in how much you can achieve and also how much you practice before the birth

What if I need a C-section or other medical intervention?

I help you gain confidence in your ability to communicate, and give you tools to do so, whatever happens in the labour room. So you and the people with you can make the best decision for you.
